Our Story

Founder’s Note

I’ve always been a bit of a sweet tooth. As a kid, I’d spend hours in the kitchen, whipping up treats empowered by my family and through this childhood passion, Sokeri was born.

Life led me to management studies and corporate work, but something made me trade the standard nine-to-five for the warmth of the kitchen, and the 9AM meetings for the aroma of freshly baked goods in the morning.

A much needed restorative trip to Auroville was the perfect recipe for change. A little bit of sustainable living with a dash of intentional consumption, changed my overview on life.

With a newfound purpose and questions to answer, I became a certified nutritionist and started working on the rebirth of Sokeri, but with one aim.

“What if we could create desserts that offered a delightful refuge from today's overly processed treats?”

Mission Statement

We're on a mission to bake a better world, one bite at a time.

A sweet escape for your senses, a healthier treat for your body.

Vision Statement

At Sokeri, we're envisioning a future of desserts that aren't just sweet treats, but a nourishing experience. A world where every bite is a love letter to your body.

Our products? Oh, they’re made to order, and yes, I could rush it out to you in two hours. But, we’d rather take the time. Because when you bite into that Dark Chocolate Orange Zest Almond Cake, or those truffles with peanut butter and sesame seeds, you’ll know it was worth the wait.

Part experiment, part sustainability movement, part memoir - Sokeri isn’t just a brand; it’s a journey. A journey that started with sugar and ended with something much sweeter: food that’s good for the soul.
